你们看，耶和华既将安息日赐给你们，所以第六天他赐给你们两天的食物，第七天各人要住在自己的地方，不许什么人出去。
See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
于是百姓第七天安息了。
So the people rested on the seventh day.
这食物，以色列家叫吗哪，样子像芫荽子，颜色是白的，滋味如同搀蜜的薄饼。
And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.
摩西说，耶和华所吩咐的是这样，要将一满俄梅珥（俄梅珥乃伊法十分之一）吗哪留到世世代代，使后人可以看见我当日将你们领出埃及地，在旷野所给你们吃的食物。
And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.
耶和华怎吗吩咐摩西，亚伦就怎吗行，把吗哪放在法柜前存留。
As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
以色列人吃吗哪共四十年，直到进了有人居住之地，就是迦南的境界。
And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.
*Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.
亚伦的两个儿子近到耶和华面前死了。死了之后，耶和华晓谕摩西说，
And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;
要告诉你哥哥亚伦，不可随时进圣所的幔子内，到柜上的施恩座前，免得他死亡，因为我要从云中显现在施恩座上。
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
亚伦进圣所，要带一只公牛犊为赎罪祭，一只公绵羊为燔祭。
Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
